landsburg park

today's afternoon adventure took us to landsburg park.  quick outing for some fresh air and river play.

sauce boat

today's find post dentist visit, this is homer laughlin piece, the company that makes fiestaware.  i had to ask my fiesta fanatics group for information on this one. an employee of 41 years informed me that it is a "carolyn sauce boat" from their old hotel line, it is ivory clay with a clear glaze.  my $2 score!

rose beauties

found these rose beauties today while thrifting and dropping off donations.  they are fiestaware rose colored tea pot (a couple of minor glaze blemishes) and the sugar and creamer set, although the sugar dish is missing.  asking my fiestaware group the age/value of these.  spent $22 on the set and whether i keep or sell, i know it was a great deal!  also found a yellow 19 oz bowl as well...can't get enough of the bowls.  definitely a successful trip!

deal of the day!!!

my fiestaware rainbow is almost complete, but i am having so much fun with my latest obsession that i continue to look for fiestaware for sale on marketplace.  i came across a listing today too good to pass up, and i drove to bonney lake to pick up 12 place settings 2 of each of the following colors; scarlet, sunflower, lemongrass, turquoise, lapis and slate.  47 pieces total for $120 with dinner plates, salad plates, saucers and 19 ounce bowls!

the mullet

jarad's semi new quarantine doo...the mullet! he's been rocking it for a few weeks now, silly hair cut, but still incredibly handsome!

apples

surprisingly our apple tree is producing apples that don't taste like garbage this year!  over the last four years jarad has worked incredibly hard to keep the blackberries at bay in our front yard, many of which were surrounding the apple tree.  i think now that they are gone it is allowing our tree to thrive.  the apples are getting rather large and are sweet and tart.  not sure what variety they are, but the kids love to pick them and snack on them all day long.  maybe this week grandma will help us make something with them?  applesauce or tarts???

39!!!

another quarantine birthday in the books, but a good one none the less.  started off by jarad making me breakfast (my fav cinnamon wheel), selling off ALL my extra fiestaware, grandma arriving, hot tubing, BBQing for dinner and cake!  thanks to all my family and friends for the birthday wishes.  it was a great day and will be a good year!

reselling

packing up my local fiestaware sales and even though i don't want or need these pieces, i still find myself a little attached.  off to new homes they go!

lemongrass serving bowl

one of the perks about buying fiestaware at kohls is kohls cash!  so i was able to grab this bowl using my kohls cash.  it is a lemongrass quart size serving bowl.  it is about twice as large as our normal bowls and a color that i already have!

unifix cubes

this is one of our new "homeschooling" materials.  these are considered to be a math manipulative, so a child can develop a concrete idea using a tangible material to understand basic math principles like addition or subtraction.  we used them today for pattern making, creating letters, building and addition.  they are easy to find on amazon (although maybe back ordered as they are in high demand) and we got the EDX education brand.  i love this brand and have several other of their learning resource toys.
