our first really wet and rainy year trick or treating, but that didn't take away from the fun!

ryder's front tooth

one of my favorite kid milestones is when they start to lose their front teeth, it is just too cute.  ryder's front tooth has been wiggly and he lost it just before school while brushing his teeth, i love his new toothless smile.

salmon hatchery

i got to chaperone bowie's class to the salmon hatchery today for their field trip.  it was a lot of fun learning about the life cycle of salmon and getting to know some of her classmates better.

doing our part

election anxiety is in full effect, but there is a sense of relief knowing we did our part.

library

the library put on a fun lifting literacy event that brought in a bunch of science experiments from the pacific science center.  i know i have said it many times before, but what an amazing resource the library system is!

this time of year our japanese maple tree is absolutely stunning!  the color of this tree is so vibrant and deep it is my favorite part of fall to watch it transform.

change of scenery

this pilea has not been very happy in my kitchen windowsill.  it has been turning a lime green color and losing leaves.  so i decided to try a new spot and i think it just needed a change of scenery.  it is looking a lot perkier and happier.  a good lesson that when we are feeling stagnant, sometimes we just need to shake things up.

bowie's new bedroom

it was time to give this girls bedroom a make over.  it started when i found a really cute comforter set as the inspiration and i let her have full control over the color of her accent wall.  it is a fun and playful space that i hope she loves!
