sunflower

watching my sunflower grow all summer has been so fun, but now that it is at it's peak, i have cut it down to enjoy inside.  

sunflower update

it's been fun to watch this sunflower grow throughout summer, it is finally in bloom and glorious! standing over 9 ft tall!

this girl loves all things small and mini.  she used a cork and some thumb tacks to create this mini mushrooms on a log.  it is sooooo cute!

coconut curry soup

made a real easy, fast and yummy soup with all traders ingredients:  

1 box of ginger miso broth

1 jar red coconut curry sauce

1 can coconut milk

1/2 head of green cabbage shredded

3 stalks of green onions

1/2 bag of chicken potstickers

i was in the front yard with banjo and i looked down in the grass and there was this leaf that is in the shape of a perfect heart.  i am learning to listen and be in tune to the "signs"

one more time...

with fall fast approaching, i thought we already said our goodbyes to the lake for a fabulous summer.  but i was wrong, the sun couldn't keep away, so this may officially be our last swim for the year.

collection

the kids asked to look for yard sales this weekend, and we stumbled upon a really fun sale at a local bed and breakfast in town.  my fun find was this fenton frilly top hat!!!  i now have 3 of them, which is a great start to my vintage glass collection!

dinner date

ryder and i got to spend some one on one quality time together tonight, we really enjoyed each other

last swim???

with rain in the foreseeable future, this could be our last swim of summer.  the change of seasons is always bittersweet.  i will miss our lake days...

apples

every year our apple tree produces bigger, redder, juicer and sweeter apples.  bowie picked the perfect one to bring into her new teacher.

this crew was blocking the street on my way home.  got them off the road to safety.  silly stuff like this reminds me how much i love where we live!
