hyper fixation meals

our current high protein hyper fixation meals have been mousse (made with tofu and chocolate protein powder).  and our chicken crust buffalo pizza!  both are super easy, very tasty and pretty guilt free.

clay ghosts

making some spooky decor for the halloween season.  we used air dry clay to make ghosts and mod podge to decorate them with some floral napkins.

banjo met a dog at the park today that really caught his eye.  her name was "cupid" and she was such a sweet girl.  it was really funny how banjo saw her and almost immediately knew she was his kind?  she was a well groomed black and white shih tzu.  but then jarad brought up a good point, do you think banjo knows what he looks like?

bowie came home from school last friday with a fever, that turned into a typical cold.  we had a chill and quiet weekend so she could rest.  she went to school today and i think it may have been too much.  she is back to not feeling well and exhausted.

gold panning

we went to a river spot over summer that had so much sparkly sand that it inspired me to buy some gold pans.  bowie is under the weather, so we decided to stay close to home and see if we could find any gold at landsberg on the cedar river.  much to our disappointment we didn't find anything.  at least we had fun trying.  hopefully next weekend we will be well enough to check out another location in snoqualamie.

mad scientist

 this is my favorite thing bowie has brought home from school.  i love the detail she put into a female scientist and the mad scientist on the left hand side.  so creative, cute and funny!  she truly is a natural artist.

ryder is learning about authority figures in school and said that MOM is an authority figure because "she does the laundry."  😂😂😂

blue glass

i haven't been going thrifting regularly, as i am still recovering from a busy summer and trying to get things caught up around the house.  but i needed to drop some items off at donation this week and stopped in to find this beauty!  it is a vintage blue glass cake plate and it is gorgeous!  vintage glass is one of the newer items i am always looking for when treasure hunting.  i am especially drawn to it if it is blue or green.  this will make a lovely cake plate, but in the meantime it will be holding some of my house plants in the windowsill.

one of my goals that i was really into exactly this time last year was my watercolor painting.  i still LOVE it, but have put it aside for too long.  i am looking forward to picking it back up, but this week i will be working on a different kind of painting...bowie's room.  there is something exciting and satisfying when you get to do a house beautification project!  

sweater weather

the weather is changing and i am afraid fall may be upon us (i am not ready).  bowie is wearing one of my old sweaters from when i was in high school.  it is giving me all the feels.

day date

 bowie had a playdate this afternoon, so we took ryder out for some one on one time and we enjoyed an italian soda together.

low carb pizza

made the viral  chicken crust pizza and it was tasty!  the crust is made out of a can of costco chicken, egg and cheese.  then topped with buffalo sauce and mozzarella.  

happy labor day weekend

what a fabulous weekend spent with the neighbors at the lake with this beautiful end of summer weather.  feeling so lucky that we get to live this life with these awesome friends!

checked out a new spot called "dirty harrys balcony" in snoqualmie.  it is a fun river spot to splash around in or jump off a bridge like jarad.
