VT eats

vermont has some incredible food, we had breakfast with a view at specialty pie shop and of course a trip back east wouldn't be complete without a trip to ben and jerrys.

no bake holiday treat

my new favorite twist on the classic cereal bar dessert but elevated a little for the holidays.  these are browned butter rosemary thyme rice krispy treats.  follow the recipe on the box but brown your butter and add 2 sprigs of fresh rosemary and 1/2 t of thyme to the butter to infuse.  remove rosemary sprigs before adding your marshmallows.  sprinkle with flaky sea salt and enjoy!!!

kebabs

i love it when we cook together and try out a new recipe that we are both excited for (reminds me of when we first started dating).  we tried making doner kebabs, where you take your well seasoned ground meat and spread it really thin between two layers of parchment paper and roll it up like an accordion and bake.  it worked really well and we made gyro bowls with basmatti rice, greek salad and tzatziki sauce.

our current high protein hyper fixation meals have been mousse (made with tofu and chocolate protein powder).  and our chicken crust buffalo pizza!  both are super easy, very tasty and pretty guilt free.
