kebabs
i love it when we cook together and try out a new recipe that we are both excited for (reminds me of when we first started dating). we tried making doner kebabs, where you take your well seasoned ground meat and spread it really thin between two layers of parchment paper and roll it up like an accordion and bake. it worked really well and we made gyro bowls with basmatti rice, greek salad and tzatziki sauce.

thanksgiving 2025
this might be one of my favorite thanksgivings! it took us many many years to come up with our own holiday traditions for thanksgiving after we moved to washington. but we are three years in a row of turkey trotting and dinner with our neighbor besties.
jarad loves to plan all the junk food we snack on during the day and we make ham and scalloped potatoes for dinner with pumpkin cake with cream cheese frosting for dessert. it was a great day!
new tradition
picked up a almond kringle for post turkey trot run. everyone loved it, new traditions were started!

craft table
our dining room table has become a craft table over the last couple of weeks and i am not mad about it. jarad has his puzzle, bowie is painting her air dry clay ornaments, ryder has legos and i have my watercolor paints. my favorite is when we all gather around the table and work on our own projects over music and tea.
i was just thinking that jarad and jim built this table for our first thanksgiving in this home 9 years ago!

air dry clay
testing out a new home made air dry clay recipe for holiday ornaments.
1 cup baking soda, 1/2 cup corn starch, 1/2 cup water. combine and cook on low/med heat in a saucepan until dough forms. knead and roll out to use with your favorite cookie cutters. then we placed our ornaments in a 200 degree oven and baked for approximately 1.5-2 hours, flipping half way.
