a dream come true... seeing gregory alan isakov live. i missed up my last opportunity to see him in seattle because I was due at any moment with ryder. just so happened that my parents are in town and my mom is also a fan. we had great seats and he put on a great show.

new season

you know you have reached a new season in parenthood when your kids start to like and appreciate your taste in music.  ryder has discovered the magic that is red hot chili peppers!  no more baby shark around here!

happy new year 2022!!!

i think this may be one of my favorite new year celebrations EVER.  we had drinks in the hot tub, grandma and i made my famous "pandemic pasta," and we had a glow stick dance party and rang in the new year on east coast time with sparkling apple cider!  the kids went around hugging and kissing everyone saying "happy new year!!!"  it was special.

i told the family that after dinner i had an activity planned.  i asked everyone to get dressed in dark clothes and come downstairs.  i had tons of glow sticks waiting to be cracked and tape.  everyone started taping the glow sticks to their clothes and earlier in the day i created a new years dance party play list.  once we were all set, we had and EPIC dance party to ring in the new year!  i think this will become a new family tradition!

excited to be able to do this again.  enjoying a concert at the lake with good friends.  oh how i have missed live music and some of our fav peeps.  looking forward to two more concerts this month.

first day of summer and it definitely feels that way, over 90 degrees!!!  we have the kiddie pool out to cool off this afternoon.

my parents have been making these cute birthday video messages for family during the pandemic and their newest one is to the tune of "old town road" and it is the greatest!  for a good laugh watch it!

this is a japanese candy kit that bowie got for her birthday, it is a waffle one.  we had fun making it and i think this is one of the better tasting ones as well.

the other morning while on the spin bike spotify gave me a wonderful gift!  they play similar music to some of my play lists and this gem came on.  this song encompasses my style of music so perfectly!!! i have been listening to him all week, and enjoying it all.  don't know much about him, but go check out shakey graves, this song is called "roll the bones."

false alarms

anyone else a schitts creek fan other than my mom, dad and mother in law???  well, patrick (actor noah reid) from the show is a great singer and i've been enjoying listening to him on spotify.  i think we first saw his talent when he serenaded david (actor dan levy) with the tina turner song "simply the best," but as moira rose says he has a "butter voice."  especially loving his song "false alarms."

another one of my most played artists is the avett brothers.  and i am excited to see them in may with some friends! 

next on my list to see if my FAV gregory alan isakov, who will be playing in august in both WA and CA.  sounds like i need to chose one venue to see him in time for my birthday!
