carnival!

bowie's school had their carnival night!  it was full of games, bounce houses, prizes, treats and fun with family and friends!  

art cart raffle basket

i was in charge of the theme and creating a raffle basket for bowie's class, as part of the school fundraiser during carnival.  i chose "makers and creators" and filled an art cart full of art and craft supplies for some open ended creating.  i hope this brings in a lot of raffle tickets and makes a family happy and excited to do a lot of creating (just in time for summer)!

sanctuary

we have visited the sanctuary twice in a week.  we had ryder's field trip here and now we are coming back with grandma and grandpa.  it's always a good day to love on our favorite furry friends.

dog parrk

marymoor dog park for the win!  i love coming here and watching all the dogs have so much fun and seeing all the different breeds.  each time we visit i see banjo's confidence increase and i think this visit was his best.

decoupage

bowie got the lego flower set for her birthday and i told her when she finished them she could make her own vase to put them in.  we tried out a new method she had never done before, decoupage.  it turned out beautifully and now she has her own special vase to hold her lego flowers!

last Pre-K field trip

last field trip with ms. jessica and i am so happy it is to our favorite place, the animal sanctuary!  we have been to a lot of farms and you will not have a better or more up close experience than at this place.  what a special opportunity for kids to get to pet, touch, feed and love on these amazing creatures.  

dozer days

our 2nd time at dozer days and this year the kids got to operate a crane truck, see all kinds of construction vehicles up close, games and lots of swag!

when in tacoma, we must hit up SIG brewery!  

banjo's foster gram

banjo's had an amazing foster mom in texas, and her mom (gram) was crazy about banjo and considered adopting him.  i have stayed in touch with his foster mom and she mentioned that gram was visiting her other daughter in tacoma, and i said how cool it would be to meet her.  well, we made it happen and what an awesome family!  it wasn't quite the reunion i was hoping for, banjo was friendly but more excited to be somewhere new.  i am not sure if he remembered her, but i think it goes to show he knows he is part of our family and quite happy.  either way it was a fun get together and very special for all of us, a full circle moment!

lego block building party

we tried out the lego block building party at the library and had a blast!!!  legos, STEM activities, games and toys!  it was so fun to watch kids of all ages working together to build creations and help each other.  i was really impressed with their collection of legos and excited we found this program in time for summer!

post dinner bike ride, doesn't get much better than this!  feels like summer!

ryder kinder assessment

this afternoon ryder had his kindergarten assessment and tour.  he is so excited to be at the same school as his sister!
