scored a really good fiesta deal on marketplace, in fact it was from someone i had sold to before. she had 3 of these round serving trays for sell in yellow, persimmon and periwinkle for $12 each!!! these go for way more and they really are one of my favorite shaped pieces. i had to get them all and some additional persimmon pieces as well to add to my spring colors.
another fun visit at kelsey creek farm park. the kids were most excited to see jackson the cat. he was a little stand offish at first, but luckily we came back and they got a good pet in. there is one goat that wants all the love, he is my favorite. we had a picnic there and headed home.
crumbl cookie is my love language. thank you to my dear friend maddie for the delivery of the most delicious cookie as we have had a rough and sleepless week transitioning ryder from his crib to a big boy bed.
easy easy activity here. creating bubbles. in a dish pan i used colored water and some dish soap, gave bowie a straw and let her blow bubbles. pop them and repeat!
**disclaimer - i would say this is for age 3 + you need to make sure your child knows how to blow bubbles and not inhale, otherwise the water can end up in their lungs**
gave bowie some watered down liquid watercolors in primary colors (red, blue and yellow) and let her use pipettes to drop them into a dish pan to color mix.
ryder was upset about something this morning and bowie tried to comfort him and said she would draw him a picture of a plane. he quickly said "otay" and cheered up. to my surprise i saw her completed picture on the kitchen table and was blown away. she drew an amazing plane, and even a pilot! i don't think i could draw that well.
since i made the kids new play dough kits, i felt like i should make some new play dough to go with, since they mixed all the colors from the last time and it wasn't looking pretty anymore. bowie loves white play dough and i thought it would be fun to let them dye their own dough. we made a double batch of white dough and i rolled it into little balls. i set the balls out with some washable markers and they can draw on the dough. then knead it well to mix in the color.

bowie has been asking to go to this park in issaquah, so we went this cold, chilly and windy morning. the kids had so much fun playing and then we stopped at boehms chocolate shop, where they have seen blippi do an episode there before. we had some treats in their garden.
we spent the morning at nolte state park and played and hiked about 3 miles. we all came home tired and lazy. we spent the rest of the day lounging and snuggling.
