cheer camp

i'm so proud of this girl right here! she did a drop in class at a local summer cheer camp. although she went with her cousin, she was in a different group and didn't know a single soul. she had a lot of catching up to do to learn the routine for a performance in the afternoon and did so well!!! i know she felt a little nervous and uncomfortable but that didn't stop her from having a great time! not only did she do camp today but she had a sleepover at her cousin's house the night before, so the girls could go together. i was worried about drop off and making sure she felt safe, secure and comfortable, and thank goodness aunt jamie was there to set her up for success! 

when the cats away the mice will play

bowie is having a cousin sleepover the night before cheer camp so they can go together. got to make it fun and fair for ryder so we had a special dinner, played chess and went night swimming. lets just say we didn't get home until 11pm!!!  fun times!

double feature

adventure day with aunt laura. we hit up the california science center and the natural history museum, which is next door. couldn't believe we spent five hours between the two museums, big hit!

first official day of summer and we kicked it off with a magic show at the library!

ryder 6th birthday

happiest birthday to the sweetest boy!  he wanted to go fishing with our neighbors and they came over for dinner to celebrate!  next celebration will be in california with family!
