pool time

these kids have been in two different pools today. they are quickly developing some nice tan lines and may even come home as fish.

full on vacation mode. ryder said it perfectly, "this is the best day ever!"

travel tips

getting ready to travel and this is my best travel mom pro tip!  the snack attack box.  i fill each compartment with a different snack and put a fun napkin on top.  each kid has their own box to last the flight.  

and they will have their tablets and a small bag of activities to share. It includes; mini play dough kits, window clings, wikki stix, kinetic sand, plus plus blocks and uno.

summer time!

summer - where swim lessons, hot tubing, sprinklers and water balloons count as a bath/shower!

 

sanctuary

our favorite sammamish animal sanctuary has moved locations, same amazing animals new home (and it happens to be closer!).  it was fun to check it out, all the animals looked happy with their new space.  it was a hot day, so the kids were hot, tired and hungry, so they didn't last long.  but i got lots of jack kisses in.

bowie kinder memory plate

bowie made this adorable kindergarten memory plate and it wasn't ready by the end of school, so her teacher passed them out at school this morning for those who were available.  we picked ours up and it was so nice to say hello to her old teacher and see a few friends!  this is a pic of bowie with all her friends from her class.

papa loves wood fire pizza, and we had an awesome dinner on the river.  good pizza, live music and the best company!

seattle chocolate tour

this afternoon we divided and conquered.  the girls took mimi on a factory tour of seattle chocolates!

story time at the lake

today was a beautiful day to kick off the first story time at lake wilderness!  and it happens to be on ryder's birthday and mimi and papa are here...so perfect!!!  

morning invitation - build a bug hotel

i set up magnatiles, plastic bugs and some vacation/beach themed loose parts and told the kids "the bugs are going on vacation, build them a bug hotel."

they got right to work building and ryder wanted to create a story again.  i am loving hearing ryder make up and tell a complex story.
