i have all the feels as bowie is done with her first year of school. no longer our little kindergartener. these two pics were taken about a year apart and the first one was on orientation and the second one was at the end of the school year at open house.
this was a hard year to start public school in the middle of a pandemic. so many sleepless hours i spent weighing the benefits, rewards, pros and cons. we took a leap of faith and it ended up being far better than i ever expected. from the teachers, staff, parents and kids that we have gotten to know, it has been wonderful! volunteering in bowie's class and jarad doing work out wednesdays has been a dream come true for me!
everyone told me that our school is a "gem" in this community and it truly is! we will end this school year making new friends and feeling connected to this special place. i am excited to see what next year will bring for us!
