derby race

we participated in our first pinewood derby race in cub scouts.  we did some research as a family and jarad and the kids built and raced their cars today, it was so much fun!  both bowie and ryder placed 2nd in their dens!  then the top 8 fastest cars raced (bowie and ryder were both in the top 8) and bowie placed third!!!!  she is very proud of her trophy!  jarad made his own car for the "family races" and he won first place!!!!  he was the fastest car of them all!  it was a fun and exciting day and to watch our hard work and effort pay off was a big bonus!

girls weekend

bowie and i had the best girls weekend visiting our besties in their new arizona home!  we had so much fun catching up, exploring, shopping, swimming, horse back riding, and hanging out together.  

bulbs

the bulbs are doing their thing and it makes me so happy!  the first pic is the bulbs the kids planted back in october.  the 2nd two are tulips coming in!  i thought i had dug them all up and put them in one pot in the backyard, but they mulitplied and it i can't wait to see what they do in spring!

experience gifts are my favorite!  we finally went on the seattle underground tour, it was so much fun!  we learned so much about the history of the city and had a funny tour guide, wish we had done this sooner!
