bowie and i we're out running some errands when we happened to find the perfect cake topper for dad's birthday cake!  and we found not only 1 BUT 2!!!!  that is birthday luck right there!

for legos! jarad was so excited to get a lego set from grandma and grandpa for his birthday! some things never change!

i got my first hanging basket of fuchsias this year. i have a perfect spot for them and i got a really cool color combination. they remind me of the huge fuchsias my grandma had on her deck by the pool, i loved popping open the buds as a kid.

i'm so fortunate my husband can tackle so many of our home projects. today he picked up a big load of gravel to repair the driveway. 

rubber plant

we had a dear friend move and they passed along their HUGE rubber plant to me!  it is beautiful and i am so excited to get to be its new caretaker!

home made window clings

ugh, the sickness continues.  bowie woke up with a sore throat and fever this morning, so we are laying low.  we are going to attempt to make our own window clings with 3 ingredients!

3 T white glue

1/2 t dish soap

food coloring

mix together and thickly paint your glue in fun designs on a ziplock bag and allow to dry completely.  stay tuned to see if it worked out???

ramen

bowie is so creative!  she took an old cap and turned it into a little mini ramen bowl, it's so cute!

new pretty

while i always look for fiesta dishes, i have so many and my newest obsession is vintage glass.  i am particularly drawn to pink, teal and green vintage glass.  fenton is one of my favorite brands to look for.  this pretty little tulip piece is coming home with me!

my poor monstera was so root bound, it is no wonder it wasn't reaching its full potential.  i hope you will be happy and thrive in your new home!

 

when you observe and listen, plants have big lessons to teach in subtle ways.  my big take away from my poor root bound plant is that you can't grow when your world is too small, dream big!
