lambie

banjo had a lamb chop stuffed toy at his foster moms house and my parents got him one for christmas.  it is favorite toy.  lately he has been especially attached to it, taking it outside with him to go potty and sleeping cuddled up to it at night.  good thing i found a 3 pack replacement on amazon.

ploymer clay

bowie (and ryder) have been really into sculpting with polymer clay lately.  bowie is creating a princess collection of her own.  these are so cute!  alice is my fav!

dog park

we went to the dog park of all dog parks today, marymoor.  we took banjo here shortly after we adopted him and he was overwhelmed, but today he enjoyed the 40 acres of off leash dog park and trails.  

sanctuary

we haven't been to the sanctuary since september!!!  it was fun to visit our animal friends on this cold day and see all the changes on the farm.  amelia and one of the goats got prosthetic legs, and are adjusting really well to them!

haircut

give a boy a haircut and you can see what he will look like as a man...my mama heart can't handle it.

white river valley museum

the kids and i went over to one of bowie's friends house for lunch and some play time and then i took all three kids to the white river valley museum and some ice cream after.  i wanted to check out the new exhibit on the mid century hostess.  

arboretum

a chilly walk this morning through the arboretum and lake wilderness.  the weather is going to be extra cold, windy and wet...perfect for mid winter break.  and snow in the forecast all of next week...WTF?  it is going to be march!

 banjo is excited to pick bowie up from school to start mid winter break!  the kids are off of school all of next week!

glad i got a cold after my trip to california, feeling a little under the weather, but banjo cuddles are the best medicine.

bowie had a sweet kindness/friendship party in her class and they read poems and sang songs and celebrated with root beer floats.

when we adopted banjo 6 months ago, they said he was approximately 6 months old and that he was born in february of 2022.  so we decided to make his birthday on valentine's day.  happy first birthday to this sweet, funny, cute, loving, playful pup of ours.  you are truly loved and cherished and the perfect dog for us.

happy heart day

 happy valentine's day!  the kids were excited to wake up to some little love gifts and a school snow day!

heart bingo

getting into the valentine's day mood with some conversation heart bingo.  bowie did a great job calling out and reading the cards and ryder was able to follow along and find them on his bingo card.  a fun family game for all.

100 days of school

bowie has been in 1st grade for 100 days!!!!  she liked this crown a lot better than the old people photos they did last year.

dad off duty

jarad did a great job of holding down the home fort and playing mr. mom during the week while i was in CA.  today he is off duty and the kids and i are park hoping.

on the road to recovery

i've spent the last week in CA with my parents while my dad recovers from open heart surgery.  i'm at a loss of words to describe the emotions of the last three weeks, but i feel confident we are in a good place.
