this has been on my list of places to visit for some time, and they have open farm days on the weekends through the rest of summer. it is a historical farm and they have a few animals and a museum that has remained closed since covid. they had an art installation set up in the barn and we enjoyed walking around the property. and i think jarad and i agree, if and when we get animals of our own, we all enjoy the goats and donkeys the best!
bowie was excited to ocean camp today, she couldn't wait to tell the class about the mermaid she met in orcas! and she brought home this awesome wind sock.
we got this toy for ryder for his birthday and just got around to building it. i'm not sure who liked it better, jarad or ryder? but it's pretty cool, you can build your own dinos, 4 of them. it comes with all the pieces, screws and a drill. jarad says it reminds him of junior legos he would build as a kid, and he loves how you can take apart and rebuild them over and over.
due to the warm summer we are having, blueberry you pick season is early. we went to our favorite canterberry farms in auburn for picking and picnic-ing.
thank you aunt laura and uncle tony for the buzz lightyear toy! the birthday celebration that never ends.
one of my favorite summer activities is story time at the lake. we have been going since bowie was a newborn. obviously last year it was cancelled, so we are thrilled to get to go back this year. they have moved the location to the gazebo at the arboretum, and we sure missed miss sharon and her silly bubble gum song.
ryder did great at his 3 year old well child check up this morning. hitting all his developmental milestones and weighing in at 39 pounds 8 ounces (96th %) and a height of 104.5cm (or approx 41 inches or 3 feet 5.14 in) (98th %). no shots today and he got to celebrate with a lollipop and stickers!
