whistler highlights

2nd annual summer trip to whistler, and big thanks to mom and dad for watching the kids and dog!  i've been looking forward to this since the time we left last summer.  we had a great three days full of fun and relaxation.  jarad biked while i enjoyed the pool and shopping.  we ate well and drank delicious cocktails and tried our first butter chicken poutine (my favorite meal).  and the first evening we went back to vallea lumina for another enchanted forest walk.

grandma and grandpa got to experience reading with rover with the kids this evening while we are in whistler.  i love this program so much, and they ended the night with a special treat.

happy gotcha day

one year ago you got on a semi truck from texas and made a long journey to washington. i'm sure you were scared and unsure of what was to come until they handed you off into my arms. i know since that moment a bond was formed and you found your forever home. over the course of a year you have been on many travels and adventures with us. although you were a lover from the get-go you were a bit timid and shy, understandably. you have grown into a very confident, funny, loving, adventurous and family dog. you love as hard as you can play, and your big personality fills our home with joy and laughter. banjo buzz you are loved and cherished, happy 1 year gotcha anniversary!

a dream come true... seeing gregory alan isakov live. i missed up my last opportunity to see him in seattle because I was due at any moment with ryder. just so happened that my parents are in town and my mom is also a fan. we had great seats and he put on a great show.

lusio light festival

our 2nd summer attending the light festival. the mary olson farm turns into an art exhibit with light installations and DJ's playing music. we all agreed that we liked the better from last year, but it was still a fun evening.
