art auction

this is the art auction piece i put together from ryder's class.  we decorated various sized craft sticks with markers and i glued them to a canvas.  minimal effort and big reward!  i had plenty of leftover sticks to create a smaller piece as an end of year teacher gift.

crafting party

bowie had the best time at her crafting birthday party!  the girls made tote bags, hair clips, key chains, jewelry boxes and picture frames.  it was a big success and she is feeling the birthday love!

the ornaments dried out nicely in the oven and bowie is experimenting with using water color paints and markers to paint them.  we baked up another batch to decorate with our neighbors on thanksgiving.

air dry clay

testing out a new home made air dry clay recipe for holiday ornaments.

1 cup baking soda, 1/2 cup corn starch, 1/2 cup water.  combine and cook on low/med heat in a saucepan until dough forms.  knead and roll out to use with your favorite cookie cutters.  then we placed our ornaments in a 200 degree oven and baked for approximately 1.5-2 hours, flipping half way.

holiday wreath

sunday was a much need lounge and relax day.  bowie wanted to craft and make a new christmas wreath as we take down our eyeball one from halloween.  so we went to the dollar tree and got a bunch of shatter proof ornaments and supplies.  she did the entire wreath herself and is very pleased with how it turned out!  ryder joined us and colored a fall themed poster.

franken pumpkin

this is the kids favorite!  our local hardware store puts this on every year and they love getting creative with all the screws, bolts, keys, washers, chains, etc.  this is a winner!!!
