we had a great ride/walk this morning at lake wilderness. we went on the path above the lake and the kids rode their bikes, while jarad chased and closely followed ryder (who is still a new rider) and i walked banjo. we went over three miles and halfway stopped at the park to play. everyone had so much fun and there was no whining or crying! looking forward to doing this again!
i have always liked cottage cheese, and lately i have been obsessed with it. so many ways to enjoy it, both savory and sweet. i tried a new way that was very interesting. with spicy chili oil and honey, yum!
we had a great time at bowie's school for their celebration of learning event. class room open house, art auction and science and culture fair! ryder is beyond excited to be coming here in the fall!
we have been having some warm, sunny and beautiful spring days and this is our first picnic of the season!
it has been a while since i have had a "start the car" moment. then i found this treasure hidden behind some other vases. it is a fiesta tangerine monarch vase. it is not my style at all, but for under $5, i was thrilled to snatch it up!
sunday night at 9pm i get an urgent text from ryder's teacher that her flight home has been cancelled and she asked if i could fill in to teach ryder's class on monday. of course i said YES! add preschool teacher to my resume.
despite the kinda crappy weather this weekend, we spent an overwhelming amount of time at the park!
i love this program that the school puts on at the library, making reading fun for kids! with earth day around the corner they had a fun flower planting craft, outdoor scavenger hunt and earth day themed story time. and i always love getting to catch up with head of bowie's reading program there.
i love this sight in the middle of the day. they close up at night, but in the afternoon our front yard is all yellow! maybe i will make some dandelion jelly that i have always wanted to try???
two museums back to back. we have driven by the "america car" museum in tacoma many times and i have always wanted to visit. thanks to our neighbor for letting me know that the 3rd saturday of the month is free for kids and they provide a family friendly STEM activity. today was making a wind powered car, they provided all the supplies and had fans so you could test our your design. after the project, there were 3 levels of so many beautiful cars to see and enjoy!
