kits

no big plans today, but happy i always have some kits on hand for an easy activity.  we did a kiwi co box to make an arcade game of a claw to grab pom pom prizes.  and a japanese candy kit of donuts.

picnic

best place to kill some time, the arboretum.  went there for a picnic lunch and walk after the kids had a morning full of drawing and play dough.  

dash point

beautiful morning to play at dash point.  it wasn't low tide, but still plenty of space to play and get nice and sandy.  

faces

i am so happy to see ryder taking up more of an interest in doing art and drawing.  he has been doing some faces recently, but this one was the best and clearest.

evening at the lake

brought some dinner to the lake tonight and walked over to the park to burn off some energy.  i attempted and failed to take a family pic, but at least i got a good pic with all three pieces of my heart.

celebrate!

thank you to all my family and friends for making me feel extra special as i enter a new decade.  big 4-0 today and feeling the love!  i was extra spoiled this year with lots of cards, flowers, cookies, calls, texts, gifts, balloons, breakfast delivered and treats!  

when jarad asked how i wanted to celebrate, i mentioned i would love to go to sig brewery for the best and most unique beer/cider around and as ryder said "the best pizza in the whole world."  thank you for making that happen.  it was relaxing and enjoyable!  

mason jar farm

glad we got to squeeze in another visit to the mason jar farm for their last farm day.  the kids love "tuna" the bunny and the mud kitchen the best!

hot tub

we have been going in the hot tub a lot lately, it's been nice as the weather has abruptly cooled off.  ryder plays this adorable game where he sits on the seat of the hot tub and pretends to have a ice cream or cookie shop and takes turns giving each one of us a new flavor.  i will miss our afternoon happy hour hot tub sessions when summer ends.

bowie asked to do a art project during quiet time today.  so i brought out this unfinished wooden sign that my in laws got for her and she picked out some liquid watercolor paint and got to work.  the way the colors blend and mix is so beautiful. mimi says it is "magnificent!"  and i agree!!!
