it's been a while since we have played with chalk outside. but today bowie requested it, and i thought it would be interesting to see what the kids come up with when i added in a mortar and pestle. they ground up an entire box of chalk and added some water to make paint. the kids thought the pestle looked like an ice cream cone, and painted their outdoor toys with a paint brush. bowie took it a step further and painted her whole body and gave me a "manicure." oh how i will miss these summer days!
