santa 2017!!!

last weekend we went to our dear friends work holiday party.  she happens to also be our real estate agent and she invites us to her party every year for the santa pics!  this year bowie did not like santa at all!  we just received the pics this week and they are priceless.

apartment...

we have 6 family members coming for christmas!!!  which gave me the push to get the apartment furnished and cozy!  my goal is to rent it out air bnb style come the new year, but this gives me the chance to get it together for my family to test out!  we have gotten some stuff over the last year and i also recently got rid of some of the items left behind.  but it still needed some TLC.  i got new twin beds for the bedroom and lots of bedding and blankets!  but i did some decorating too.  it is not done yet, but here is what i have been working on...

ill update when finished and i will be putting a few christmas decorations in there to make it feel extra cozy and festive!

winter has arrived!

and all of the sudden it feels like winter is here!  we have had some rainy and cold days, but we woke up on monday morning to lots of frost!  and the weather was 32 degrees when i got in my car for my early morning dentist appointment.  we have no rain in the forecast for the next 10 days!!!  but it sure is chilly out!  but it is a beautiful cold, crisp, sunny day on shadow lake!

i am loving our christmas tree and i love the feeling of turning off the living room lights and watching TV by the light of the christmas tree!  bonus points for a fire too!

and it is safe to say bowie is loving it too!

polar express...

last night we went to a fun festive family night!  it was pizza, dessert, crafts and the polar express movie.  we met some friends and enjoyed dinner and part of the movie.  we left early since bowie wouldn't sit still, but she did enjoy her bag of popcorn and the beginning of the movie snuggled up in her pajamas!  what a fun new tradition to start!

milk man delivery...

i went to update my milk man delivery today and i added some holiday treats!  yum!!!
