kodiak pancakes!

thanks to my friend beth for introducing me to these power cakes!  i have heard of them, seen them in the store and even sampled them in costco, but i didn't know why they were so special.  they are packed with protein!  i compared them to my krusteez brand of pancake mix which only has 4 grams of protein compared to these kodiak pancakes that have 14 grams!  BUT...if you make the mix with egg and milk you can get up to 21 grams of protein!

i made these for the kids and they seemed to approve.  i enjoyed them and will try this mix as muffins next time and beth also made mini muffins with sausage in them.

i didn't measure, but my batter included egg, milk, cinnamon, vanilla, oil and a smashed banana.  they were pretty tasty, especially with a little melted butter and syrup!

dr. appointment for bow...

bowie had a dr. appointment today and at almost 3 years and 7 months old she is at 42 inches tall (same as her 3 year check up) and 46 pounds (a few pounds up since her 3 year old check up).  she is a head taller than most of her preschool class, we sure do make big kids!

peggy party!

bowie had a play date today and this is how i found the doll house when cleaning up...looks like a peggy party to me!  wonder what is going on here?

thomasson family farm field trip!

today bowie's preschool went on a field trip to the farm and pumpkin patch!  they got to pick out their own pumpkin, play in the hay,  tractor ride, see some animals and experience the ultimate sensory play in the corn pit!  a fun day was had by all (ryder and i included)!

i'm not tired, i don't need a nap...ZZZzzzzZZZ

pajama storytime!

it's hard to beat story time at the lake during summer, but pajama story time is a highlight for us too.  and this song is everyone's favorite!
