avett brothers

another one of my most played artists is the avett brothers.  and i am excited to see them in may with some friends!

next on my list to see if my FAV gregory alan isakov, who will be playing in august in both WA and CA.  sounds like i need to chose one venue to see him in time for my birthday!

here is one of my fav songs by the avett brothers...."head full of doubt."

arboretum

our fav activity these days.  getting some fresh air and outdoor time in with ryder while bowie is at school.

staying healthy...

or at least trying to.  i'd be lying if i said i wasn't overly paranoid and concerned over the corona virus.  but it is in our county, our city and our community.  here is what i am doing to keep us as healthy and as safe as i can...

~no playdates/get togethers and no indoor activities (no toddler time, no little gym, no kids room) with the exception (for now) of bowie going to school 2 mornings a week.  and many of these community organized activities are being cancelled as of today until further notice.

~bowie changes clothes after school.  i do this anyways. especially in winter.  but if we are out in a public play space, we change into clean clothes at home.

~as of today, jarad will be working from home.  a good call by his office!

~bowie taking multi vitamin.  and i am also taking my vitamins, vitamin D and elderberry syrup.

~washing hands all the time.

~hand sanitizing when we are not at home.  i have it in the car and my back pack and we use it often!

~don't touch face

~not eating out

~i sanitize all common surfaces at end of night including toys, phones, etc.

~stocked up on food

~washing sheets and towels often.  changing ryder's sheet daily.

~reconsidering our travel in a couple of weeks

maybe this seems overly cautious?  but my gut feel is we don't know what we are dealing with and it will get worse before it gets better.  it's my job to protect my kids and family and until we have a better understanding of the impact of this all, we will be spending a lot of time at home and outside.  it's a risk i am not willing to take.  so getting crafty and creative over here with the sandbox under the breezeway in the front yard and lots of walks.

this girl!

so proud of our girl!  lately she has become so mature and independent and growing up in some new ways.  recently she has given up milk completely.  once ryder gave up his bottles, he also went on a milk strike and now no one in the house drinks milk, bowie decided she doesn't need it either!  it is strange not buying it, after we were going through at most 4 gallons a week!!!  and over the last 8 days, she has had dry pull ups at night!!!  although potty trained since 3 years old, she has still worn pull ups at night time, until NOW!  and lets take notice of her awesome fashion sense!
