spring time

welcome spring!  i sure hope you bring sunshine and health!

put up a few easter decorations in the play room, cause...why not? this also really makes me want to white wash our fire place.  quarantine projects???

quarantine cooking creations

don't worry, we have plenty of food!  but today's quarantine lunch creation is a veggie burger, with cheese, avocado, fried egg and everything but the bagel seasoning on a piece of trader joes garlic naan.  jarad a was a bit skeptical at first, but pleasantly surprised that is was really tasty!

wilfred

today (bowie's birthday) as jarad was fixing our hot tub, wilfred got underneath and ate some rat poision.  luckily we were able to act fast and used hydrogen peroxide to induce vomiting and took him to the emergency pet clinic right away.

he ate a small amount and should be fine, the vet gave him charcoal and an IV.  gave us all a good scare.  never been so happy to share the bed with this grumpy guy.  love you wilfred, don't you go dying on me.

birthday girl!

a day of mixed emotions.  emotional that my first born is 4 years old, getting more mature and wiser everyday, and how do we properly celebrate my sweet bowie rae in this weird uncertain time we are going through?  we did our best to make you feel loved, special and celebrated, and it makes my heart happy that you said "it was the best birthday ever!"  i promise you that when we can safely do so, i will make sure you have your special party with your friends!

for today, she woke up to presents and video chats with family.  lots of messages from friends and loved ones wishing her a happy birthday!  she wore her birthday crown, we turned the apartment into a movie theater and watched frozen 2.  we ate chickfila and had yellow cupcakes with yellow frosting and rainbow sprinkles.

 to the girl that made us parents, we love you immeasurably.  keep spreading your beautiful light!
