early morning visitor!  this big boy woke us up around 4:30am knocking down our recycle bin, good thing our trash was empty since it was picked up that day.  jarad opened up our bedroom window to yell at him, but the noise from the window alone was enough to scare him off. 

pour station: bowie vs. ryder

from about two years old, one of bowie's most favorite sunny day activities is the pour station.   a bunch of colored water in a large bin to mix, pour and transfer.  ryder also loves this water activity, but they both go about it so differently.  he loves to dump and pour all the water together until it becomes a shade of brown and bowie carefully mixes the colors and adds flowers and it stays pretty the whole time, even at two years old this was still her method.

i turn my head for a minute...we are still learning that markers belong on paper only!

new entry way tile!!!

jarad says he will never tile or do flooring in our house again, yikes!  but it turned out nice, a "monat" as we call it.  nice from afar (better than before) but don't look too closely.  we have about 100 square feet of entry way from our "front door" to the entrance of our kitchen/eating area.  it had parquet wood flooring and i am happy to see it go.  we replaced it with matching tile (but inverse color scheme) of the tile by our other door.

i'll never get used to the airport trips and "see you next times."  ugh, it is just as hard on bowie as it is for me.  we can't stand to see them off.
