i have a love hate relationship with the sandbox. i love when the kids play nicely in there, but i hate the sand throwing, sand in the diaper, sand everywhere part of it.

this is us
there is no "parenting during a pandemic" manual, we are all doing the best we can. the fatigue and burn out is hard, and having to make big decisions about the upcoming school year has weighed heavily on me. we decided to withdraw bowie from pre-k next year, a decision we didn't take lightly, we kept the door open to do drop in classes as spots open up and the covid situation settles down. but i/we will be their teacher next year, and i'm learning that while i am thinking about preschool curriculum these kiddos are the best teachers when it comes to teaching ME about grace, love, compassion, forgiveness and empathy.

outdoor play
something about bringing your indoor toys outside makes them feel new and special. today we played with magnetic tiles on the garage door.

park
this poor kid hasn't been to the park since march, and to be honest, i am still reluctant to take her. but today we went to the covington community park to go rock hunting and we noticed no one was on the fitness equipment. she had the best time swinging, jumping and climbing.

who needs a bath...
when you got a hose! we have been skimping on the baths lately, but do you really need one when you spend all day in the sprinklers or the hot tub???

rattlesnake lake
today's adventures took us to rattlesnake lake! we did a short hike because there were so many bikers and the kids wanted to stop every 3 feet to pick flowers and rocks. then we headed to the lake for snacks and relax time before hitting the road.
