happy with my weekend thrifted finds!
fiestaware "cinnabar" medium sized pie baker, retired color $3
fiestaware "paprika" java mug $1
fiestaware ring handled mugs in tangerine and peacock (both colors are retired) $10
and lastly, NOT fiestaware, but a super cool vintage find. this is a syracuse china "rainbow spectrum" platter for $2!!! i think this will be used a birthday plate. i was drawn to the cool rainbow, but the sides of the plate are similar in design to some of the fiestaware serving pieces.
although we got out and had fun, we definitely did not luck out with our weekend adventuring. saturday the lake we wanted to go to was closed and sunday we went to nolte state park, but it was very overcrowded at the lake there. so instead of lake time, we went for a hike and got slurpees on the way home (100 degrees today!)
we tried to do some morning exploring, but unfortunately the lake we wanted to go to was closed, so headed to the arboretum for rock hunting. in the afternoon, bowie went with daddy to flaming geyser to the RC flying field and mommy and ryder stayed back for nap time and some outdoor fun.
goal almost complete! i was in need of more salad size plates and came across a great marketplace deal today, it was 20 dishes for $50!!! fiestaware sells in a jiffy on most sites if priced well, so i jumped on this. there are several colors i will try to resell, but i was able to add some scarlet, tangerine, sunflower, mulberry and plum dishes to my salad plate collection! here they are in rainbow order!
here is my shelf of fiestaware, looking pretty. i have to mix them up so we can use all the dishes equally. and i've read in some of my forums that serious collectors will pick 3 colors for each season and rotate...now that is FIESTAWARE GOALS!
