early morning holiday paint sesh. feels good to be creative first thing in the morning.

dough ornaments

testing out a new recipe for dough ornaments. this recipe came from an artist I follow and i wanted to test them out because they come out very white in color and are supposedly good for watercolor painting on. the dough is tricky to work with, and i had trouble using any sort of detailed cookie cutter, the heart and circle worked best. bowie already tested out painting on them to give some ornaments to her teachers, and they did accept the watercolor paint well. i don't think i would use this recipe again, as i had better success with a cinnamon applesauce dough to make gingerbread men for ryder's class.

winter dance

the kids were so excited for their school winter dance.  they had treats, glow sticks, hot chocolate, picture booth and a snow ball fight.

art docent

i was at school ALL day!  started off with being an art docent (teaching how to do a self portrait) for bowie's class, then helped out in ryder's class and then my popcorn duty!  phew!!!!  now some rest time before the winter dance this evening!
