the hunt

needed some retail therapy today and i headed out to do some thrifting.  when i commit to collecting something, i love the thrill of the hunt!  i found all these fiestaware pieces at value village today, everything for $19!!!  i have to do a bit of research and ask on some forums, but i believe i scored a cobalt and scarlet ring handled mug, the bowls i believe are all vintage (lower case f on the "fiesta" in white, slate and i am unsure of the exact green) and lastly a matching green plate.  woohoo!

friday post nap, jarad took the kids for a walk by lake youngs so mommy could have some time to myself (i used my time to go thrifting for fiestaware!).  seeing pics of the kids holding hands walking together ALMOST makes me wish i was with them. 

beach day!

last minute beach trip to dash point.  a fun filled adventure with chasing seagulls, making sand castles, digging, searching for shells and a chikfila drive through lunch on the way home!

they act like they really like each other.  makes my mama heart melt.

this kid is such a lover boy!  all the hugs, hand holds, back pats, kisses, i love you's and snugs, he is the sweetest!

summertime!

this beautiful weather makes up for the crap weather we have the rest of the year (almost).  enjoying the sunshine to the max!

jarad sent me this pic from his ride this morning.  all i could think was "he doesn't look happy at all." and when i said that to myself, all i could think is...that sounds like something mama bev would say.  ugh, miss her so much.  something tells me she would appreciate this pic too!
