i recently bought a pair of fushia colored croched toms shoes, and they are adorable!  the shoes cost around $60 and for every one pair you buy one pair is donated to a child in need.  it's a great way to buy some super comfy, cute shoes, and give back at the same time.  you can buy toms at whole foods, nordstrom or online at toms.com

each purchase comes with a cute canvas shoe bag with drawstring and a toms sticker. toms encourages you to get involved with their mission by:

1.  putting the sticker in a visable location where others will see it.
2.  host a "style your soul" party
3.  screen the toms documentary
4.  go barefoot on "one day without shoes"
5.  share your toms story

i put the sticker in my office and thinking a pair of toms would make a great mothers day or birthday gift for my mom (ssshhhhh), but she is the one who turned me onto them.
