although the garden box appears to not have changed much in the last two weeks, a lot of new stuff is going on.
we picked all of the snap peas and stir fried them as a side dish the other night. we have some baby peas growing back in, which is a good thing since this was our favorite of all the veggies we have grown. i have also had to cut the lettuce back since it is starting to flower, but we have made some good salads with it. we had two baby squash come in and then rot, but we have several more blossoms.
we got a new roma tomato plant (left of herb box) from my parents and it will replace our dead heirloom one. i also planted rosemary seeds in the herb box (far left side). i planted them along with the dill and basil, but it never came in, so i am trying it again.
the red planter has tarragon and thyme. i also planted it when we did the herb box, but it started to sprout and then died. we gave my parents the old broccoli raab plant about a month or so ago. we pulled it out because it was spreading like wild fire in our small garden box. my mom planted it in a container and they got some good broccoli off of it, but now it looks as if it is dead (although i see some florets, but we will remove it from the planter and move the artichokes in there, they need more space. wonder what will go in the artichokes old home???
