goats...

you may fall in love with a house, but you don't know if you love your neighbors.  when looking for our home, we were looking at more rural properties that were not in a neighborhood or development.  we have a steep driveway that we share with one other family down the road on the lake.  during the first week of us living here i took the baby and the dog and walked down to their house to introduce myself.  i met guy and debbie and their 2 dogs, 3 goats and countless chickens.  they were very nice and welcoming and i could see we would become fast friends with them.  they have several children who are close in age to us and many grandchildren, one baby girl who is only a month older than bowie.  they have a beautiful lake front home and have lots of summer gatherings that we are excited to be a part of!  we have had a few dinners together and it is nice to know we watch out for each other.  they went out of town for the weekend and asked if i could check on the goats, of course i couldn't resist.  they have 3 young goats that are extremely friendly and cute and i was very happy to help!
