20 & 21 months old!!!

i can barely wrap my head around the fact that this little spitfire is going to be 2 in a matter of months!  this time last year i was planning her first birthday party, which was more for us parents than her.  but this year, i want it to be a theme she likes and all about her!  my sweet bowie blows me away everyday with her sense of humor, curiosity and how quickly she is growing up.  the last couple of months have blended together, but she is a sponge with new information and evolving everyday!

i have found myself being overly emotional at the thought of her not being an only child for much longer, and savor every sweet moment with her.  we have had a busy schedule post holidays with lots of play dates, toddler time and starting a organized class at the little gym.  the winter months can be kinda rough with littles cause they get cabin fever too!  we have been taking advantage of indoor play areas and get outside anytime the weather allows!

here are some of the many bowie milestones over the last 2 months...

~size 6 shoe, size 2T pant, size 4T shirt, size 3T pajama, size 6 diaper
~shows empathy towards others and animals
~vocabulary is building everyday, too many to count, but well over 100 words
~starting to put together 2 & 3 words, for example "daddy book please"
~bedtime between 7:30-8pm, sleeps 12 hours at night
~down to one nap during day, usually 2 hours but can be as long as 3
~loves books!!!!  she will sit down and look at them all and pretend to read them
~bedtime routine consists of reading 3 books with daddy, always finishing with "llama llama i love you"
~officially off of bottles as of 19 months!  loves her sippy cup and milk!
~not a great eater, the only food she wants to eat are "nunees" which means noodles.  that can be spaghetti, mac n cheese or cottage cheese noodles.  likes fruits, but not into veggies so much
~knows all animal sounds
~shows interest in potty training
~hair is super long and she will now allow me to put her bangs in a clip
~loves mickey mouse!!!
~has a bear stuffed animal that is her primary comfort item
~has to sleep with minnie mouse (which she calls mickey), daisy (which she calls donald), elmo and bear in her crib!
~likes to line up her toys
~can begin to count or say ABC's
~eyes are dark hazel and hair is light golden brown
~weighs probably about 33-35 pounds
~loves to play with her doll stroller and baby and push threw the house, her disney figurines, mega bloks and her little people house and camper
~can identify some colors, but has mastered "yellow & purple"
~is learning to share, this is a hard one!
~has become increasingly attached to her binky after being sick
~if asked what her name is, she will tell you "bow bow"
~any female or male figure is referred to as "mommy" and "daddy"
