summer has come to an end and we officially have a first grader. unfortunately her teacher broke her foot badly two days before school and will be having surgery, so there is a substitute teacher filling in until she returns. and bowie only has two kids from her kinder class with her, and sits at a table with two boys. my mama heart is struggling a bit, since this is not the start of school i had hoped for. i want her to have another great and positive year. i know she is easy going and adaptable, so i will hope for the best. and reach out to her sub next week to see if i can get in there and volunteer!
and big improvement from last year where she said she wanted to do nothing and live with her parents forever to a swim teacher...i'll take it!
