i've never made a poke cake before but having the neighbors over for dinner and they had a birthday last week. seemed like a great opportunity to try out a new recipe. it is so simple and it was a big hit!
ingredients:
yellow cake mix (and all the add in's to make it)
2 small boxes of vanilla instant pudding (and milk to make it)
1 container of chocolate frosting
how to:
make your yellow cake mix per the instructions and when it is out of the oven, using the other side of a wooden spoon handle poke holes all over your cake. then make your instant pudding and cover the cake completely. allow to cool, even overnight if time allows. a few hours before serving, microwave your frosting for 20 second increments until it is pour-able consistency. (it took me two times) and pour over the cake and smooth out, back in the fridge to set for a couple of hours. serve!
