del cerro hike...

every year jarad and i go for a pre-thanksgiving hike as soon as we get off of work the day before thanksgiving. this year we opted for a more local hike, and headed to my hometown.  del cerro is located at the top of crenshaw boulevard in rancho palos verdes. 

 

jarad occasionally rides his mountain bike on the trails there, it is dog and horse friendly and has incredible views of the peninsula.  

the fire trails are fairly easy, unless you hike the face of the hill on the way back up (like we did).  beware of snakes, and if you are looking for another work out spot in the area, try running the stairs at del cerro.
