one of the best parts about our mexico vacation was that we didn't bring our phones with us.  we occasionally checked our personal emails, but we didn't do any work, phone calls or texting.  sometimes it is nice to go off the grid and disconnect.  you don't have to go out of the country to do this, sometimes just making time to turn your computer and phone off for a day can help keep you present and in the moment.
