hydrangeas...

these hydrangeas came off the same bush at the same time of year (one year apart).  the first pic is from last thanksgiving, and we had a big beautiful blooms in green and purple.  they were so pretty that we dried them and i have this vase in the bathroom.

after we cut these blooms off we pruned back the bush quite a bit.  this year we don't have many blooms, maybe 10 total and they are white, and a very faint green or even blue.  i cut these for our thanksgiving table.

funny how they color changes so dramatically from year to year.
