it was a drizzly cool day for tinkergarten. i was surprised that we still met up outside instead of under the shelter, but everyone was appropriately dressed and no one was complaining. today was all about music. the kids explored the sounds objects from nature make when dropped in water compared to a bucket (bowie loved playing with the chestnuts in water) and especially loved pouring the water onto the grass and jumping in the muddy puddle. then they made their own instrument with rice and beans inside of a container. the teacher made a small one for ryder with the lid taped on, he enjoyed this too!
of course bowie enjoyed this and loved the opportunity to play with her favorite sensory material. the kids had a parade and we even saw a mama duck and ducklings! ryder was very interested in all the noises and watching the kids, this may have been his favorite class so far!
