it's been over 5.5 years since jarad and i had a night away from the kids. we take advantage of date nights when we have family visiting, but we've never had more than a couple of hours to ourselves. grandma and grandpa are visiting and encouraged us to get away!
we drove to forks and got lunch. then headed to la push beach and checked out the beach. then we drove up the road to do a hike at second beach. from there we drove about an hour to the tree of life. then we went to ocean shores for the night. on the way home we stopped at the capitol building in olympia and took a tour and ended the adventure the best way we know how, a trip to sig brewery in tacoma.
it was a great break and always a good feeling to be home!
