39 weeks!

this will be a short and sweet one. over the last week i have been feeling pretty good, i have had decent energy, not a lot of pain or discomfort and getting stuff done.  that all took a turn for the worst on saturday evening.  while giving bowie a bath around 7:30pm i felt like my upper thighs were tender to the touch as if i had a bruise, but i didn't.  i told jarad it was weird and over the next few hours the pain had traveled all down my legs and arms.  i had a hard time getting comfortable to sleep that night and come sunday morning i was having a hard time walking and moving around due to the pain.  after a call into labor and delivery and the doctors office, they both felt like it was not pregnancy related and told me to rest up and take tylenol. 

my mom was originally supposed to come on wednesday morning but i couldn't wait that long so she arrived late night sunday, thank god!  i seriously don't know what we would do without her right now!!!  it also relieves some of the pressure for me of not knowing when he is coming but knowing bowie is in good hands with her grandma! 

so monday morning i have no improvements in my pain level and am barely able to walk or bend down or get dressed.  i was sent to labor and delivery for an evaluation.  my blood pressure was on the high side of normal but my pulse was high and i was having contractions that were making baby unhappy.  they gave me 2 bags of IV fluids and immediately he calmed down and was a happy little guy again.  they ran labs on my blood work which all came back normal and released me after 4 hours.  they did a cervical check and i was only 1 cm dialated but having lots of contractions.

tuesday (today) i had my normal weekly check up.  my doctor says that while it is uncommon there can be a viral infection that can happen at the end of pregnancy due to all the changes in estrogen.  but we are still unable to figure out why i am having so much pain in my legs and arms.  i am retaining a lot of water and still unable to move easily.  my blood pressure was great today and baby is happy.  he has dropped but is not in pelvis yet, but today i am dilated to 3 cm.  we did a membrane sweep to try to get things going and if i don't go into labor in the next couple of days, i will be induced friday night.  and i am on bed rest until this baby comes which won't be long at all!
