today was a big day, we welcomed a new furry member to our family! we adopted him from a texas based rescue. there is a large amount of strays and unwanted dogs and cats in the houston area. they place them into foster homes and do their medical there (vaccinations, microchip, spay/neuter) and find homes for them in the PNW. every 3 weeks the animals are transported from houston to utah, idaho, washington, oregon and canada by semi truck. he has traveled for approximately 48 hours and today we met the semi truck for our pickup to bring him home!
welcome banjo buzz!!! he is the cutest and sweetest little scruffy terrier mix you've ever seen, complete with an underbite and an extra dew claw. from the moment we picked him up he gave me kisses and licks and cuddles the entire ride home. he adores the kids and is settling in nicely. he is playful, funny, spunky and full of cuddles! he is everything i could have hoped for and more, a perfect family dog!
