garden box...13 days

i wasn't planning on posting any garden pics today, but when i went to check on our plants and water, i noticed the "bald spot" is starting to fill in.  we have a new cucumber plant coming through.

it is hard to see in the picture above, so here is a close up of the baby cucumber plant.  what looks like the white dot in the middle of the picture is actually two small leaves that have just poked through the soil.  i found this amazing, because as always, i checked on plants first thing when i woke up, and there was nothing new.  we had a really warm day on saturday and in the middle of the day the leaves had come through.
