easter eggs...

with easter around the corner, i have been trying new easter egg dying methods, but my favorite one is still the old fashioned dye.  i realized that i do not know how to make the perfect hard boiled egg, so i did some research and this is what i found.  then i used my perfectly hard boiled eggs to make these beautiful easter eggs, which will become egg salad.

hard boiled egg how to:

step 1 - make a single layer of eggs in your pot, and cover with 1-2 inches of cold water.
step 2 - add 1 tb. of vinegar and 1/2 ts. salt (this helps avoid cracking and makes the eggs easier to peel)
step 3 - bring to boil and then turn heat to low
step 4 - let eggs simmer for one minute
step 5 - remove from heat and cover for 10-12 minutes
step 6 - remove eggs from pot and place in ice water bath.  once cooled, refrigerate and eat within 5 days.
