necklace making with our clay beads!

remember those air dry clay beads we made and painted, well we are making necklaces with them!  not only was this great fine motor practice, but bowie probably spent more time sorting and organizing the beads (she is definitely my daughter, LOL).  i set up this invitation to create with a tray full of pony beads, wooden beads and her clay beads.  i taped some lanyard string to the tray and she laced away.  it was fun to see her organize all her pony beads, but she didn't use any of them on her necklaces.  she used 3 clay beads and wooden beads on either side (this was her VERY OWN design), i have to say they are very beautiful!  she is making necklaces for all her friends and family!

since we have run out of clay beads, we are currently making more.  i was excited to see her participate in the making of the beads and we will do this process all over again for more jewelry making!
