gamble

for fiesta collectors the color "lilac" is one of the most sought after pieces to collect.  it had a short production time and there were many inconsistencies with the glaze making perfect pieces hard to come by.  basically it is a unicorn.  i don't have any lilac, but i took a gamble on a facebook marketplace sale.  it was a fiesta gravy boat in what the seller described as the fiesta color "mulberry."  however, on first glance it looked lilac to me and definitely not dark enough to be mulberry.  and knowing that mulberry is a very recent new color in the last couple of years and based on the description it sounded like she had owned it for a while.  so i took a gamble and bought it.  i was a bit hesitant at first, as there have been a lot of fiesta scammers on our group sites lately, but she had lots of marketplace followers, good ratings and this was her only fiesta listing.

i watched my listing anxiously to make sure it was shipped and followed the post office updates.  and it finally arrived!  and it is indeed lilac!
