it's been a while since ryder has taken a mid day nap. and it never fails that as soon as we get in the car he will doze off. this afternoon we had plans to meet friends at the arboretum after our library book pick up. the whole car ride to the library (about 7 minutes away) the kids were chatting and asking me lots of questions. i grabbed our book and headed to the arboretum, which is right next door to the library and sure enough in that quick time, he fell asleep. he was in no mood to be woken up either and go for a walk. hopefully bedtime goes easily.
