today was a GREAT day! we got to be tourists in our own backyard. we went into seattle to go to the burke museum, but it ended up being a lot more than that. so this is part 1. the burke museum. this is a natural history and culture museum, and i love the description on their website, "experience the life before you." they have exhibits on northwest native art, archeology, paleontology, biology and cultures.
i loved seeing the scientists working behind the glass and also seeing the large library of artifacts stored on their moving shelves. and of course the dinosaur fossils and bones were super cool!
