signs of spring...

although the weather is still cold at times, we have had some beautiful sunny warm days.  it is a taste of what spring is going to be like.  but for the last month or so we have had lots of signs of spring!  the days are getting longer (and the time change is just around the corner), the weather is warming up, seeing squirrels again (they disappeared for winter), our rhododendrons are starting to bloom and i am most excited about some bulbs that have been breaking through the dirt for some time now.  they are like little presents and i can't wait to see what they are!  i also bought a bunch of bulbs to plant myself, i know i need to plant them sooner than later, and maybe if we are lucky they will make an appearance this year, but if not then hopefully the following year!  i am also welcoming spring with another use of paint chips.  jarad found a stencil of an egg online and i traced and cut my pastel colors to make an easter egg banner!
